About the painting

Painted on a 6 x 6 inch boxed canvas, this piece features a hand-painted gold border that frames the harbour view, with soft bursts of bokeh light drifting beyond the painted image into the gold edge, as if the glow of the city cannot be contained.

The gold edging enhances the warmth of the nightscape, giving the work a jewel-like quality that shifts as it catches the light.
