About the art

This original oil painting captures the first light of the day - a golden glow in the sky and fingers of light that creep across the land as the day wakes up. 

Painted by New Zealand Artist Mel McKenzie (The Penny Drops) in 2022, the artwork is sealed with a satin varnish.

15cm high, 15cm wide, 1.5cm deep - on a boxed canvas with the sides painted in a continuation of the scene.
