Painting flowers in the hair of her portraits is an ongoing theme for New Zealand artist Mel McKenzie. My botanical portraits are a reminder to cherish each day (wear the flowers in your hair without requiring a special occasion - every day is special).

These stunning fine art prints are based on an original botanical oil painting, featuring the favourite Autumn flowers of a Southland flower farmer - my friend Nic from Festival Farm - in her hair. 

Prints

Fine art prints - including larger sizes for extra wow factor - are now available for preorder. Please allow a week for your order to be fulfilled.

Choose from 25cm by 25cm or 48cm by 48cm.

The prints are printed on heavy, subtly textured paper with a beautiful matt finish that showcases all the lovely details and textures of the original.

Prints up to 25cm square will be shipped flat, while 48cm square prints will be rolled and shipped in a cardboard tube.

Framing

The prints are shipped unframed, but for your convenience, the sizes of this print have been carefully chosen to fit into off-the-shelf frames. You'll find frames to put these pieces straight into at Spotlight - they're good quality and well priced.
