As the sun fades away, the night lights of Invercargill come out to party.
The fountain on Gala Street is illuminated, as the bokeh of traffic lights and passing vehicles dance with the sun's last glow through the trees.
About the art
This original oil painting captures the orbs of light that are seen looking west down Gala Street, Invercargill - New Zealand's Southern-most city.
Painted by New Zealand Artist Mel McKenzie (The Penny Drops) in 2022, the artwork is sealed with a satin varnish.
