A highway stretches ahead, soft with tail lights blurring into the distance, overhead lighting guiding the road home like halos in the dark. There's a sense of flow without urgency.

These are people heading somewhere that matters. 

There's comfort in the anonymity, in being part of a flow of travelers all moving in the same direction. This simple, intimate scene captures something universal: that particular peace of the road at night, when the world narrows to what's lit and the rest falls away.

The Glimmers Collection

Glimmers are considered tiny moments of joy in your day. This collection of small oil studies resists overthinking in capturing moments of light, place, and atmosphere. I aimed to paint them quickly and intuitively, with each work allowing softness and joy to lead the way. 

While these pieces are slightly looser than my canvas paintings, they are finished pieces in their own right, and some may inform future, larger works. Together, they offer an intimate pocket of joy.

Bokeh does 2 things:

1. It magnifies - the soft focus allows light & beauty to grow, and
2. It simplifies - the art takes the focus off 'sharp edges' and 'nitty gritty details'.
