The 2026 Southland Art Trail was held on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November. Two fabulous days of welcoming visitors into my Studio, after weeks of preparation.
An Arts Trail never goes 100% smoothly...
The custom-made biscuits I ordered only arrived on the morning of the first day of the Arts Trail (huge thanks to my amazing rural postie who made a special Saturday delivery!) and the wind seriously picked up on the last afternoon, but otherwise it was a lovely weekend, full of great chats about all things art and bokeh.
Art you took home
A few new pieces of art are hanging in homes around Southland now - the boxed sets of prints were especially popular. (Note: the boxes are in very short supply, with only 1 or 2 left in each set, so if a boxed set was part of your Christmas plans, I'd recommend grabbing one soon!)
Most popular painting award goes to...
This new Riverton painting was probably the most-commented on piece in the gallery - it's a particualrly radiant one so I'm not surprised it grabbed attention.
